This page is a STUB and we need your help serving right information
Overview
In Mindustry, power systems are used for defense, attack and resource production as well as boosting up builds.
In this page, we will demonstrate the power systems in Mindustry including power generating/consuming blocks
Note: The new version ( 4.0 ) update includes new stuff that may not be described in this page, please pardon it, and try to change it ( if any ) to the right information for the public to see.
Generators
Generators use items in exchange so that it could create power. With a specific generator, you can also exert more than enough energy if you're smart: For example, just use a specific type of generator that its usage can not too much affect your resources that you are gathering. Generators only require a medium amount of basic materials but have low power output.
Here, is the list of generators, infoation is used for public knowledge and to only serve as it is only for educational purposes.

A. Combustion Generator
The basic generator. Can be powered easily with items suited of choice and can generate only low power per generator block.
General
- Health: 40
- Size: 1x1
Power
- Power Capacity: 40 power units
- Power Generation: 60 power units/second
Items
- Item Capacity: 10 items
Fuel
- Input Items: Coal / Blast Compound / Pyratite / Spore Pods
Pros
- Low input cost and rate
- Does not take much space
- Useful in early-game period
Cons
- Low power output
- Potentially unstable power output
B. Steam Generator
This generator generates great power amounts with an various different items. But, uses liquid water.
General
- Health: 160
- Size: 2x2
Power
- Power Capacity: 40 Power Units
- Max Power Generation: 360 power units/second
Liquids
- Liquid Capacity: 10 Liquid Units
Items
- Item Capacity: 10 items
Fuel
- Input Liquid: Water
- Input Items: Coal / Blast Compound / Pyratite / Spore Pods
Pros
- Decent cost and high efficiency
- Good power output
Cons
- Takes up some space
- Has the probability to shut down the whole power system when runs out of fuel
C. RTG Generator
Reactors
A. Thorium Reactor
Generates great amount of electricity. Uses Cryofluid and Thorium.
General
- Health: 700
- Size: 3x3
Power
- Power Capacity: 80 Power Units
- Max Power Generation: 840 Power Units/Second
Liquids
- Liquid Capacity: 10 Liquid Units
Items
- Item Capacity : 10 items
Fuel
- Input Liquid: Cryofluid
- Input Item: Thorium
Pros
- High power output
Cons
- Decent amount of resources needed
- Can explode violently when lack of cryofluid
- Very vulnerable and takes up much space
- Requires defense around the power plant
